The Slip Stitch is used often to join two folds of fabric for a clean edge, most frequently to meet linings with outer “Fashion” fabrics. One of the most frequent stitches I’ve used-especially when I was working on hats!

“Costumes” of Japan

Our trip to Japan gave me the experience of seeing various types of “costumes”. Some of historical significance within the culture, and others of the extreme “play hard” mentality that many Japanese restaurants and tourist attractions possess.

It was truly an amazing experience to see & witness so many costumes and “different” attires from what I was used to seeing in the U.S.

How to Change a Presserfoot

So, you’ve put together your whole garment or bag and it looks great, but one thing is missing. A closure. What do you need? A zipper? A button?
